  3. This gives me so much hope for the future of the field and scientific understanding in general! In the past you either understood the connections between certain mathematical and geometric models or you didn’t. Actually, this may not be the absolute best example because I know I learned this particular relationship through words and blackboard drawings just fine but it remains that this gif is dope afuck and that as things get more complicated high quality animation is an incredibly useful tool. Our ability to make things click for each other is higher than ever before and that’s a meta-innovation that will hopefully pay large dividends in inspiration, understanding, and progress!!

  4. I used simple harmonic motion to calculate the orbits of jupiter’s moons a year ago, the connection between these motions made that possible! It was really cool!
