  2. It’s definitely possible, but highly unlikely, that the dice would have stayed on its corner. There is an unstable equilibrium when a dice is ballanced on its corner like that. Basically, if the dice is standing just right, all the forces pulling it down will cancel out, leaving it standing on its corner.
